Chiapa de CorzoChiapa de Corzo is a small town located in the center of the Mexican state of Chiapas, in the southeast of the country. A 15 km from Tuxtla Gutiérrez, is conurbando with him. Originally populated by ethnic soctona, called by the Aztecs as Chiapas, which means "water below the hill". His name at that time was Socton Nandalumi. Despite centuries resist attempts to conquer Mayan and Aztec peoples, ethnicity was the only one not surrendered during the Spanish conquest, resisting several armed expeditions, until during the campaigns of Pedro de Alvarado succumbed and was almost exterminated.
The city is notable for architecture and music, plus folcklor. Chiapa de Corzo is the hometown of Don Zeferino Nandayapa Ralda important marimbista of Mexico, in addition to parties like, the biggest party in January, the fair of San Miguel, San Sebastian, Santo Domingo, Virgen de Guadalupe, performed well festivals as the Gathering of Culture of the Region and Marimba Festival, idea proposed by Don Carlos Nandayapa, builder of marimbas in that municipality.
Another memorable date is October 21, when thousands of lanterns out to walk the streets of Chiapa de Corzo to remember that historic event that happened in 1863, when Angel Albino Corzo was quie defended the town against the forces of the Mexican Empire .It is why in 2008 the slogan declaring that city as Heroic Chiapa de Corzo, due to the great support of the people who fought for national sovereignty was proclaimed.

Comitán de DomínguezComitan (formerly Comitan de las Flores), is the 4th. most important of the State of Chiapas, Mexico town. It is a colonial city with cultural and historical edifcios. It is located 90 km from the border with Guatemala. The town is known for its colonial beauty and pleasant climate, with rains in the summer and cold in winter moderate.
